Down payment assistance available for first time, low income buyers!

RE/MAX Gold Elite is happy to announce the WISH Program.  Under the WISH Program, the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco has set aside a portion of its annual Affordable Housing Program contribution to provide matching grants for down payment and closing cost assistance for eligible buyers.

The WISH Program provides up to $15,000 for each participating household, matching $3 for every $1 contributed by the homebuyer.  So if the homebuyer has saved up $3000 for a down payment WISH will contribute $9000, brining the total down payment $12,000!

To be eligible you must meet the following requirements:

• Homebuyer is enrolled in the WISH Program
• Homebuyer has successfully completed a homebuyer education program
• First time homebuyer (or you haven't owned a home in the last three years)
• Homebuyer is at or below 80% of the area median annual income level
• Property will be the homebuyer's principal residence
• Homebuyer's contribution MUST be money they have saved themselves, not be a gift from a relative
• Homebuyer must open escrow on a home purchase transaction within one year of enrollment in the WISH program

WISH funds may only be used toward the down payment or closing costs in conjunction with the purchase of a home to be used as a primary residence.
